The Greek and Roman peoples of the east have come together to form an Empire, pledging to support the Orthodox peoples of the world, and to protect them. The Empire was formed by a meeting between the leaders of Bithynia, Cybelos, and Scilenia in Christoupolis. After their cooperation in the Black Sea campaign, and the cooperation of Bithynia and Cybelos in Cyprus, the nations have chosen to combine their nations into this Empire. What the future holds in uncertain, but this fledgling Empire shall surely have a role to play.

Overview:

The Greco-Roman Empire is an Empire formed from three nations: Bithynia, Cybelos, and Scilenia. Its borders stretch from North Africa to Illyria, and is comprised mostly of Greek and Roman Culture. Orthodoxy is the dominant Religion in the Empire. The Empire was founded in part to strengthen the Greek and Roman Peoples of the East, but also to protect the people of the Orthodox faith. As the Orthodox faith is new, at least new as a truly separate religion, one of the Empires goals is to protect the faith in their lands and elsewhere.

The Empire is split into three Administrative districts, which are the three smaller nations that formed the Empire. These regions are; Bithynia, Cybelos, and Scilenia. Each region is given a deal of autonomy, though the Emperor is still the final authority.

The Imperial military is composed of approximately 44,000 soldiers, from the three regions.

OOC: Question. Do you want me to color the nations of the Empire with the same color, but different shades?

OOC: For now I think one shade will do, a nice red if possible.

Greco-Roman Empire Empty New Imperial Law

Post by Byzantine_Bithynia Sun Apr 10, 2016 2:13 am

New Imperial Law

A new imperial law has been enacted by the Emperor, which is meant to secure the stability of the Empire's territory. Under this new law, any territory left without a ruler and with no heir will be transferred immediatly to the Emperor himself, to be redistributed among Imperial subjects. Should the De Jure ruler of the land return, or an heir be found, the land can be returned to the de jure ruler.

Imperial Forces Advancing Eastward

Imperial forces from Anatolia are being directed towards the border, due to the recent events. They are being commanded by Nicanor Lunis, commander of the border forces of Bithynia.

To the venerable and excellent Emperor Varius Corvinus,

In order to maintain this empire's continued prosperity and ultimate survival I believe that our two Kingdoms must keep a correspondence with one another. Doing so by sea works for us now buy in times of strife it could prove itself much more difficult. What I propose is this, a common land border between our nations. I would ask that you grant this land to me and allow me to drive any remnants of the so-called Latin Empire from these lands. Long live the Orthodoxy! Long live the Empire!

To King Alexander,

By the powers vested in me, and with the support of the Senate of Constantinople, I shall approve your request for this land. Let us give security and safety to these Orthodox people who suffered under this so-called "Latin Empire".

Best Regards, Emperor Varius Corvinus
