[The Duchy of Krakenstein]

The beginning
It was a misty morning, but the guards on the tower could still see the longships landing at the shore underneath them.
“Psiakrew! Those are ships of Rorukheim!", one of the guards yelled. They ran down the stairs to the guard-room. Two other soldiers were sleeping in their beds. As soon as they woken up and got dressed, the four ran outside. While they saddled their horses, one of the two men who saw the ships, explained the situation. After he explained it, he declared that he was going to ride south to Sczeczin where the Duke currently resided. The others rode to the nearby Castle of Rügen.

As the messenger entered the Palais of Sczezin, two guards refused to let him through. But when he explained that he needed to speek with the Duke and also why, they stepped back.When he entered the main-room of the Palais, three men starred at him. The first stood up and asked him:" Who are you and why are you here?" "Im from Rügen and i need to talk with Duke Kraken, immediately!", the messenger answered. "So it is I you desire to speak with?", said the youngest of the three men, "And now say what you need to say." After the messenger explained that Longships from Rorukheim have landed at the shores of Rügen, the Duke stood up and walked to one of the colored windows. "Well then", he said as he turned around, "you Johann, go gather the schlesian Guard, and you Patryk, gather the Archers and Swordmen. In the meantime i am going to gather the Krakish Cavalry."

After an half day the Krakish Army finally started to march north.

The Invasion of Krakenstien-
From the frozen depths of the north, a fleet of 130 ships sail into the waters of a land know as Krakenstien. Hailing from the ports of Denmark, the Drakkars and Knarrs sail silently in the morning fog of the Baltic, creeping on the unsuspecting towns and villages of Rugen. The fleet would sail around the northern coasts, stopping to unleash a horde of northern heathens that would raid the few defenseless towns and villages. The ships of Rorukheim would continue to sail and pillage the coast until it reached the mouth of a large river that could sail them into the heart of Krakenstien. The fleet stops there, near the mouth before it would continue it's march. A large campsite containing thousands of soldiers. Sentries and defenses are placed and positioned around the campsite to protect it before they move again.

The Invasion of Krakenstein

While the Duke was marching north with his army to fight the nordic warriors, a storm was brewing in the east of the duchy. A mysterious army was marching trough eastern Krakenstein, lead by Mateusz Danczak. Danczak once was an Count under Duke Maur, but because of his pagan believings, he was forced by the Duke to leave Krakenstein and go into exile. His Bloodguards (Bodyguards) followed Mateusz into the cold lands around the Ladoga-Lake, where they served the local tribes as mercenaries. But that is long ago, know they want to get their old land back. While the Army is still marching through eastern Krakenstein, Danczak was sending messagers to the rorukheimian Generals offering vassalization aslong as he would get the regency over Krakenstein.
